Step 1
Install the software on your computer and follow any prompts the software or your computer give you for proper installation. You will want to restart your computer to make sure the software is completely installed and recognized by your hard drive and anti-virus program.
-
Step 2
Open the program and locate the menu that says "Devices" at the top of the screen. In the drop-down, select "VST Connections". The key F4 may also bring up the same dialog box, unless you have previously configured your F keys for other functions.
-
Step 3
Ensure that you are looking at the information contained on the inputs tab. This should include a bus name or it may say stereo. This is unimportant at the moment. Delete it, then click to add a bus. Change the configuration to "Stereo" and make sure the container heading reads "One."
-
Step 4
Add another bus, put these configurations at mono one and container one. You will see you can change the name, device port, audio devices and the speaker it will go through. Leave these for now, as you can go back and change them later. Go back to Stereo and change the name to "Test Stereo."
-
Step 5
Close this screen, making sure to save the changes you made. Click on audio track, and it should say no bus. There is a small menu there where you can choose the bus from the ones you created. You can also use these same techniques for outputs and studio.
