Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Evergreen wreath
  • Homespun cloth
  • Raffia
  • Hot glue gun
  • Cinnamon Sticks
  • Gingerbread cut outs
  • Dried orange and apple slices
  • Wire ties
  • wire
  1. Step 1

Weave a length of homespun or raffia ribbon around a plain evergreen wreath. Trim off the excess ribbon and secure it in place on the back of the wreath with a dab of hot glue.

  2. Step 2

Wrap small bundles of cinnamon sticks with raffia. Glue each bundle onto the wreath.

  3. Step 3

Glue gingerbread men onto the wreath. You can embellish each gingerbread cookie with a tiny raffia or homespun bow, for more detail.

  4. Step 4

Attach dried orange and apple slices to the wreath with hot glue.

  5. Step 5

Insert sprigs of red or orange winter berries throughout the wreath for a dash of bold color.

  6. Step 6

Add a homespun bow with wire tires.

  7. Step 7

Fashion a hanger for the wreath with some wire. Simply secure the wire on either side of the back of the wreath with wire tires.

Tips & Warnings
  • Layer the decorations to give the wreath more visual interest. Tuck some of the fruit slices and gingerbread figures into the wreath, rather than piling them all onto the top.
  • Instead of a plain evergreen wreath you could use a sealed pretzel wreath or grapevine wreath as a base.
