Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Compressed air can
  • Pre-moistened electronic wipe
  • Damp microfiber cloth
  1. Step 1

Turn off your computer and LCD monitor.

  2. Step 2

Spray condensed air onto the monitor to remove all dust and particles. Small particles or pieces of grit can scratch the screen as you're cleaning it.

  3. Step 3

Lay the monitor down on a flat surface to allow easier cleaning and access to corners and creases.

  4. Step 4

Choose either a pre-moistened electronic wipe or a soft, damp cloth to clean the monitor. Soft, damp cloths clean your monitor gently, and electronic wipes clean as well as repel dust and create an anti-static environment.

  5. Step 5

Wipe the LCD monitor screen and the plastic frame with the electronic wipe or cloth. Press and move gently back and forth across the screen and around the frame in a circular motion.

Tips & Warnings
  • Check your user manual or product manufacturer's website for recommendations on cleaning. Some manufacturers advise only to use soft, damp microfiber cloths for cleaning LCD monitors.
  • Avoid using paper towels or dirty cloths and any product containing acetone, ethanol alcohol, ethyl acid, ammonia or methyl chloride. These products can do irreparable damage to your LCD monitor.
  • Never spray liquid on the monitor. Spray your cloth first then wipe the monitor.
