Magicians can not magically make a new deck of cards appear, but they can care for their magician cards to make them last longer. Magician playing cards are not usually too expensive, but if they are not well cared for, magicians can begin to spend more money than they would like. Follow these simple steps to care for magician cards.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Buy a high quality deck of magician cards so that they will last longer. The company called Bicycle makes a nice deck of magician playing cards and the price will not break your bank. These cards are recommended by master magicians.

  2. Step 2

Wash your hands each and every time you take out your magician cards to perform tricks. If you don't dry your hands completely, the moisture on your hands can ruin your playing cards. Also, if you get hot and sweaty hands while performing magic tricks, take a break and wash and dry your hands again.

  3. Step 3

Keep your magician cards in a nice case rather than held together with a rubber band. You can find a nice stainless steel card clip at your local magician's store or online. You can easily store the card clip in your pocket for easy access.

  4. Step 4

Store your magician cards out of extreme heat and humid temperatures to avoid the cards folding up and bending up at the edges. Also, keep your cards in a good spot that children cannot gain access to them.

  5. Step 5

Inform your clients how to care for your magician cards if you allow them to perform tricks with you.
