3. Go to your auto parts store and take the make and year of your car with you. These stores usually have books to help you find the correct battery that you need to put into your car. Find the year and model of your car in the book and choose the appropriate battery.

4. Make sure you have the right amps for the engine that you are trying to start up. You need the right amount of power to get your engine to start and keep the battery healthy.
