How to Perform the Reverse Helicopter Breakdancing Move

The ability to breakdance well will make you a hit at the next party. Not all moves require a great deal of athleticism, though they do demand coordination. One of the easier moves to master is the reverse helicopter. Read on to learn how to perform the reverse helicopter.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Stand with your feet roughly shoulder width apart, balancing evenly on both your feet. This is a good standard starting position for most breakdancing moves.

  2. Step 2

    Put both of your palms down flat on the floor in front of you. At this point you should be in a comfortable forward crouch, ready to begin the execution of the breakdance move.

  3. Step 3

    Kick out to the left with your left leg while keeping your right leg under the center of your body. This is the first movement in a circling series of steps.

  4. Step 4

    Bring your right foot over where your left foot is while your lift your arm free in order to allow passage. It's important to keep a close eye on the location of your arms so you don't get hung up.

  5. Step 5

    Continue the steps, hitting the three major points, at 90, 180 and 270 degrees from your starting point, doubling up at each point for a full six-step count. Each revolution will require these six steps.

  • Never attempt a breakdance move if you're suffering from serious back injury or a heart condition.
