Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Select a ramp that is no more than five feet tall and has a three- or four-foot wide deck on top you can get a small pedaling start before you drop in. Try to use a ramp where there are fewer people around so you don't get steamrolled in case you eat it on the first few tries.
Step2
Position your bike at the far edge of the ramp's deck with your front wheel at a 15 to 20 degree angle to the ramp. Get your pedals in a forward position.
Step3
Start pedaling very slowing and stand up on the bike with your elbows bent at about a 30 degree angle. As you reach the coping and just as your head and the front of your front wheel hang over the ledge, turn the front wheel of the bike into the ramp.
Step4
Lean into the turn and the motion of the bike without leaning into the ramp itself (as this most likely causes you to fall flat into the ramp). As you feel your back wheel bump over the coping get the bike to a straight downward position to finish the drop in.
Step5
Ride through the ramp until you get to flat ground.
