Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Long balloon any color you choose

    The Bumblebee

  1. Step 1

Inflate a long yellow balloon so that 1 and 1/2 to 2 inches remain uninflated at the end. Twist a small bubble into the knotted end of the balloon. Make another bubble about 3 inches long at the opposite end of the balloon. Connect the two bubbles with a twist to create a loop with your yellow balloon.

  2. Step 2

Hold the balloon at the top of the loop and squeeze the center gently to make a crease. Press the crease down to the center where the two bubbles are connected to create two smaller loops on each side.

  3. Step 3

Twist one loop 180 degrees and then bring the small bubble up and over the center of the two loops to hold it all in place. This part may take some practice.

  4. Step 4

Draw a few stripes on the back of the long bubble to create your bumblebee balloon animal. Add a face to your bumblebee as well, for the finishing touch.

  5. The Hummingbird

  6. Step 1

Make a balloon hummingbird, which is almost exactly the same as the bumblebee. Make a 3 inch bubble at the knot end of your long balloon.

  7. Step 2

Make the small bubble at the loose end of the balloon, and connect the two bubbles with a twist.

  8. Step 3

Press down on the center of the loop and twist one small loop 180 degrees. Pull the small bubble up and around the twists to hold it all in place.

  9. Step 4

Draw a little face on your hummingbird to complete your new balloon animal.
