Becoming a yo-yo master is a great way to entertain people, improve your coordination, or just waste some time. The matrix trick is an advanced skill where you begin one step just before ending the previous step. It's tricky to learn but impressive to watch.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start the advanced matrix trick as you would if you were setting up to do the double-or-nothing.

  2. Step 2

Let the yo-yo string slide off of your right finger.

  3. Step 3

Loop the yo-yo around your left hand in a counterclockwise turn and then unwind it, just like you would when performing a traditional trapeze.

  4. Step 4

Turn your right hand toward your chest and then arc it to the left. The path of the yo-yo should move above your left hand, around the outside and down, pulling the yo-yo through a somersault.

  5. Step 5

Continue to move your right hand all the way around until it returns to it's original position. Then flip your right hand back to it's original position, again resulting in a traditional trapeze. The yo-yo will continue to move due to momentum.

  6. Step 6

Bring your right hand down and make a small loop. Stay inside of your left hand this time, rather than outside of it as you did earlier. Your hand should strike the yo-yo string.

  7. Step 7

Watch the yo-yo swing around and allow it to land on the outermost string. You'll be back to the starting point of the double-or-nothing. You can continue the advanced matrix trick by allowing the yo-yo string to slide off of your right finger again.
