Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Play an A minor chord with the four highest strings. The high E string is played open and the A string is played open. The B string is pressed down at the first fret. Strings G and D are pressed down at the second fret.

  2. Step 2

Move on to a G major chord. Play this with all of the strings. The high E string is pressed down at the third fret. Strings B, G and d are open. String A is pressed down at the second fret and the low E string is pressed down on the third fret.

  3. Step 3

Play the A minor chord several times in a row before moving onto the G chord. The A minor chord is played about five times, for two counts each before moving onto the G chord on the second sixth count.

  4. Step 4

Repeat the chord progression over and over again. The same pattern of these chords is repeated throughout the verses and chorus.

  5. Step 5

Listen to "Working Class hero" and try to recreate the song using these chords. This is a very simple song to play and much of the power is in the words, not in a complex playing style.
