How to Play "Give a Little Bit" on Acoustic Guitar

Try playing "Give A little Bit" on your acoustic guitar. It is a beginner-level song, originally by Supertramp and redone by the Goo Goo Dolls. Use the chords below to learn to play the song and rock the crowd.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Begin with an A7 chord. Play this chord by strumming all strings except the low E string while pressing down the B and D strings on the second fret.

  2. Step 2

    Play a D chord. Strum the 4 highest strings, and press down the high E string on the second fret, the B string on the third fret, and the G string on the second fret.

  3. Step 3

    Move on to a G chord. Play this chord with all of the strings. Press down the third fret on the high E string, the second fret on the A string and the third fret on the low E string.

  4. Step 4

    Strum all strings to play an E chord. Press down on the G string first fret and second fret on the D and A strings. Change it to a suspended E chord by moving the forefinger on the G string to the second fret.

  5. Step 5

    Perform an A chord with the highest 5 strings. Press down the B, G and D strings on the second fret.

  6. Step 6

    Finish with an E minor chord. Strum all the strings and press down strings D and A at the second fret.

  7. Step 7

    Put all of these chords together to play the melody of "Give a Little Bit." Listen to the song and try to recreate it.
