1
Talk to the wedding planner or event coordinator about your vision for the dance floor. They've probably worked with other couples with the same ideas.
-
2
Look into balloons. Balloon companies specialize in decorating all types of events, including wedding receptions. There are also companies that specialize in event decorating.

3
Consider an archway made of balloons. It will look really pretty in pictures and can be used as a centerpiece when the bridal party is announced into the reception.
-
4
Build a canopy of balloons from opposite corners of the dance floor, running diagonally. You can also add tulle or other fabric.
-
5
Add white lights to your ballroom decorations. This will add a romantic glow and further highlight the dance floor.
-
6
Create your monogram on a computer program. The order is--the bride's first initial, the couple's last initial and the groom's first initial. Make the middle letter slightly larger than the other two.

Ask the reception venue and DJ if they have the necessary equipment to project your monogram in lights onto the dance floor. It's an elegant statement that adds class to your reception.
