1
Determine where to install the subwoofer in your RV. You'll see better results if your subwoofer is in a corner or against a wall. You'll notice a decrease in sound quality if you install your subwoofer near a door.
-
2
Get a subwoofer enclosure. These make installation a breeze, and they ensure quality sound from your subwoofer. Prefabricated enclosures are available, and they work well with a number of different subwoofers. Double-check to make sure you have all the hardware you need, like speaker wire and mounting screws, because many prefabricated enclosures don't come with the necessary hardware.

3
Wire up your subwoofer. This project is easiest when your subwoofer isn't already in the enclosure. If necessary, now is the time to run your subwoofer through an amplifier. Each wiring mechanism is a little different, so you should follow the manufacturer's directions.
-
4
Mount the subwoofer to the enclosure box using a screwdriver. This should be a simple step that takes only a few minutes. Complete your wiring and test it out.
-
5
Place the subwoofer in your RV. Use brackets or straps to keep your subwoofer from shifting when you're on the road.

Tips & Warnings
Some subwoofers are sold already inside an enclosure. Pick the size subwoofer you want, connect it to your amplifier, and it's installed in your RV.
