Anxiety about pregnancy is common among most pregnant women and more so among those who have multiple pregnancies. It is, however, normal to experience anxiety; studies show that it affects 25 percent of women with multiple pregnancies.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Accept that your anxiety about your multiple pregnancy is normal and common even among women with single pregnancy. Talk to your doctor about your anxiety and ask him for suggestions that can help reduce your anxiety.
Step2
Eat a healthy diet. This benefits both you and your babies. A healthy diet is critical in reducing anxiety and will affect how you feel positively. Drink enough fluid and get plenty of sleep to stay healthy.
Step3
Ask your doctor for a list of appropriate exercises for you and find time to do them, even if only for 15 minutes a day. A little exercise can still go a long way in helping you to relax.
Step4
Try aromatherapy. Studies show that 50 percent of women find aromatherapy to be helpful in reducing their anxiety during pregnancy. Check with your doctor first if this is something you'd like to do.
Step5
Take short naps in the day when possible. Even a 20 minute nap helps to rejuvenate your energy and allows your body to relax and cope with the stress of carrying multiple babies.
Step6
Talk to a close friend or family member of any anxiety or stress you may have; just having a nice adult conversation is therapeutic in itself.
