Step 1
Gather supplies for the boar hunting trip. Check with the state's wildlife department to see if they require you to have a boar hunting licenses. Ask if there is a season for hunting boar.
-
Step 2
Select an area that has a high population of boar. Tracks and rubbed trees are the most common signs that boars are near. A rubbed tree is a tree that the boar has rubbed the bark off.
-
Step 3
Follow the trail, tracks and rubbed trees to find the boars. The animals are the most active from dusk to early evening.
-
Step 4
Make the shot. When using a bow and arrow the best kill zone for a boar is between its shoulders. This is dangerous for the hunter because the boar will charge and attack when provoked. Have arrows ready for a second or third shot when the boar attacks. Boar, like pigs, squeal when injured. Their high-pitched scream may through you off.
-
Step 5
Approach the wounded boar with knife in hand. When close enough, slit the boar's throat. This kills the boar in seconds.
