How to Coordinate Photoshop and InDesign for Graphics
A useful feature of the Adobe Creative Suite is that programs like InDesign and Photoshop are coordinated when installed on the same computer. This comes in handy when you place a photo or graphic in InDesign and then decide you want to change it in Photoshop.

Place photo on the InDesign page.

Make any changes necessary in Photoshop and save the file in its original folder under its original name.

Go back to InDesign and select the image using the Direct Selection tool.

Click the "Relink" button on the Links palette. The icon looks like a floppy disk with an arrow pointing to the right.

Browse and locate the photo file.

Double-click it to update the link.

Tips & Warnings
Assign a profile to an imported photo in InDesign and embed that profile into the image in Photoshop so the colors have the best chance of appearing as they should when you print the InDesign document.
Be aware that the instructions may vary depending on which version of InDesign or Photoshop you are using or with Mac OS.
