How to Fold Sheets as a Set

When you use sheets as a set, it's convenient to store them in your closet all together. This is also a great way to keep your closet organized. When you need to change the sheets on your bed, simply grab the set of sheets and you can make your bed quickly.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Fold your fitted sheet on a flat surface. Lay the sheet with the elastic corners facing up. Fold the elastic corners in so the edges of the sheet are straight.

  2. Step 2

Tuck the elastic corners into each other. When you fold the sheet in half, the corners will naturally meet each other, so it's easy to tuck them in. Finish folding the sheet until it is small enough to fit inside of a pillow case.

  3. Step 3

Get one pillow case and your flat sheet. These are easier to fold because you don't have the elastic to worry about. Fold the flat sheet so it's the same size when folded as your fitted sheet. Fold your pillow case in half, and then fold it in half again.

  4. Step 4

Stack your pillowcase, flat sheet and fitted sheet. Store them neatly in the other pillow case.

  5. Step 5

Place your sheet set in the closet with the seam of the pillowcase facing out. When you need a new set of sheets, they're easy to grab and you won't have to search for that missing pillowcase ever again.

Tips & Warnings
  • Another way to fold sheets as a set is to fold everything inside your flat sheet. Follow the directions above, except fold everything inside of your flat sheet when you fold it. Store it in your linen closet with the folded facing out that way you don't drop any parts of your sheet set when you pull it out of the closet.
