Eyeshadows come in virtually every color under the sun. So do a little experimenting and see which colors make your eyes (and everyone else) go "Wow!"

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Color palette
  • Eyeshadow brush
  • Eyeliner
  • Mascara
  • Accessories/clothing in complementary and/or opposing colors
  1. Step 1

Look closely at your eyes in the bathroom mirror or anywhere else where there is good lighting.

  2. Step 2

Examine the various colors throughout your eyes. Note what shade/color your eyes are, as well as what, if any, other colors or specs are present.

  3. Step 3

Consult a color wheel to see which shades are complementary and which are on the opposite side of the wheel. Take the colors you would like to experiment with to a beautician or to a makeup counter consultant and ask what kinds of products they would recommend in these colors.

  4. Step 4

Think about how you can use these colors to enhance your eye color. For example, if your eyes are blue dying your hair brown can enhance your eye color. For green eyes, wearing a red or blush-colored sweater can bring out the deep hues. For brown eyes, using blue eyeliner really brightens them up.

  5. Step 5

Play around with the complementary and opposing colors, and decide upon which ways you'd like to use them. Maybe you love wearing plum eyeliner with green eyes but wouldn't want to dye your hair red, etc.
