Fact sheets are given to judges who will use this information when they interview you. It is very important to fill out this form correctly, since your fact sheet speaks on your behalf before you actually meet the judges.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Pageant fact sheet
  • Typewriter or computer
  • Photocopier or printer

Step1
Type your fact sheet or re-create it on a computer. Judges are turned off when contestants have typos, spelling and grammatical errors.
Step2
Make sure to put on your fact sheet information about your significant achievements and goals, but don’t over do it. You want to expand on the information on your application during your interview.
Step3
Be honest. Do not try to make up information in order to sound more interesting. Your achievements and goals make you unique.
Step4
Be true to yourself. Make sure you are giving your opinions and not those that you think the judges want to hear.
Step5
Be as specific as possible. If you list any interest in talents, state the genre of each. For example, if you list reading as a hobby, list the types of print material or the genre of books you enjoy.
Step6
Make a photocopy of your fact sheet before you send the original to the pageant offices. The judges will ask you about the information on your fact sheet, and this way you can review what you put on your application before the pageant interview.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don’t list too many activities. A judge might wonder how are you going to keep your commitments if you win.
