How to eliminate a wasp or bee nest
Have a nest of wasps or bees hanging out under your eaves of the house? Want to get rid of them without getting stung? I will show how this is done with ease. Does this Spark an idea?

Assess the situation, is it a small nest or a large one? If it's a large nest or if you are allergic to bees or wasps I would consider calling an exterminator over going to the ER. If it's a small nest and you are not allergic then it's time to plan the attack.

You are going to do this deed early in the morning when the ambient temperature is at it's lowest. When wasps and bees are cold they move much slower and less likely to get agitated as quickly. Between 6-7am is the right time. Make sure the kids are in the house and they can watch through the window from a safe vantage point. You will have on a long sleeve shirt or jacket and long pants on, this is sting prevention.

Get a can of RAID wasp and hornet spray, have a large trash can that you can place under the area of the nest. The spray should be able to shoot 10 to 12 feet and hit the nest, you might want to put on safety goggles so the spray doesn't blow back into your eyes. Spray at the nest and soak it down as quick as possible, the wasps will start dropping into the trash can.

The wasps will probably get irritated at this point and some may fly off of the nest when you start spraying. They will come after you, so this might be a good time to head back indoors to retreat. Let things settle down for a while 2-3 hours and come back to inspect the damage, you probably eliminated half to two-thirds of the wasps.

Repeat step 3 again the next day after it cools off and the remaining wasps have huddled back together overnight. After you have eliminated all the wasps then you can knock down the nest into the trash can and spray any remaining stragglers.

Tips & Warnings
When insects are cold they move much slower
If you allergic then leave this task up to an exterminator
If it's a large swarm then again leave this up to an exterminator, there's a reason they are called killer bees
Make sure the kids are in the house before attacking a nest

Wasps are usually beneficial. Unfortunately I had a wicked huge hive under my front eaves and had to get rid of it. I went up a ladder with my small Sears shopmate vacuum cleaner, and very easily sucked up all the wasps. I threw the vacuum bag into a plastic garbage bag & chucked it all into the incinerator. Safe & easy job.

I have had wasps a couple of times I have had an exterminator and I have gotten rid of them once by myself but I did the spraying just after it got dark, I just kept spraying in the hole and i did this about three nights running...
