Rock Smack is a perfect game for a day at the beach or on the banks of a lake. Any place where various sizes of rocks can be found will enable you to play this game with one or more other people. It allows you to sit still and relax while still occupying your time in friendly competition with a friend. This game is great for conversational times because you can focus on what you are saying and what others are saying while still playing Rock Smack.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Various sizes of rocks
  1. Step 1

Begin with a larger rock. Throw it or place it out in front of you at some distance.

  2. Step 2

Sit or stand with your competitor some distance behind this specified rock.

  3. Step 3

Choose smaller-sized rocks for both of you, and keep them close to your current position.

  4. Step 4

Begin to throw these smaller rocks, one at a time, intending to strike the larger rock. Striking the rock first earns the player five points. Striking the rock each time following the initial strike earns the player one point.

  5. Step 5

Play until you have reached fifteen points.

  6. Step 6

Choose another rock--smaller than the original target--to act as the target, and throw it or place it out in front of you at some distance.

  7. Step 7

Begin throwing smaller rocks at this second target using the same scoring system.

  8. Step 8

Continue to choose smaller and smaller targets.

  9. Step 9

Play until you have reached a pre-determined score or until the players decide to move on to something else.

  10. Step 10

Create a tournament with other players, determining the necessary score required to continue on to the next level.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also increase the difficulty of the game by placing the target farther and farther in front of the players.
  • Do not throw the rocks at each other or at other people in order to avoid any potential injuries.
