How to Set Up Separate Queues on Your Netflix Account

Families with Netflix plans can sometimes find themselves frustrated over "movie mixups." Maybe Dad wanted the "Bourne Ultimatum" but because he didn't move the movie to the top "The Jane Austen Book Club" was delivered instead. An easy way to avoid these problems is to set up separate queues for each member of the family.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet access
  • Netflix account
Step1
Go to www.netflix.com and sign in with your username and password.
Step2
Direct your attention to the top right corner of the next page and click on the "Your Account" link.
Step3
Click on "Account Profiles" in the "Account Information" box. The person who owns the account (this is most likely you, your parent or your significant other) will be listed as the owner and at this point is the only person listed.
Step4
Click on "Add Profile." You will then be prompted to enter your name, a sign-in name, password, maturity level of the movies that can be rented, gender, year of birth and then you may enter your mailing name and address.
Step5
Create your queue of your own movies, so whenever you send one of your movies back, it will send you the next one on your list, not any other member on the account. It's like having your own Netflix account to yourself.

Tips & Warnings

  • This only works with Netflix plans that have more than one movie out at a time.
  • The next time you log on, if you want to get to a separate queue, click once on the name to the left of the "Your Account" link and the other members on the account will appear. From here, select the one you want.
