As a breeder myself, I have to say that online advertising of puppies is very common and sometimes necessary to get perspective owners to look at them. I would never recommend buying a puppy from out of state because there is a larger risk of mis-treatment of animals. I strongly suggest doing research on the breed that you want to purchase, ask friends and family if they know any breeders, and if you look online to find a breeder always go to see the puppies and the parents. It is important to see pedigree paperwork, and see where and how the animals are being treated. -
You should never ever buy a puppy online. Any breeder that is willing to put a puppy in a box and ship it to you does not have the best interest of the puppy in mind. You are most likely dealing with a puppy mill. Always check out the kennel where you are buying the puppy and how the parents are being taken care of.
