Prom is something that just about every high school girl wants to experience. However, prom can also be very expensive for the parents or students that are paying for prom. 1. Visit stores that target teenagers and young adults. These stores typically offer low prices on just about everything that they have in order to increase sales. You may be able to find a pair of prom shoes for less than $30, which is a good bargain. Most malls offer a wide variety of stores that target teenagers. If you’re a parent, the best way to find some of these stores is to just ask your child what their favorite stores are. There is a good chance that your teenager regularly visits one or more of these stores on a trip to the mall.

2. Before you go shopping, always look in the local newspaper advertisements. You never know what stores may be having a sale on shoes. As it gets closer to prom season, it is likely that you will find quite a few sales going on. If two stores have the same pair of shoes that are originally priced at $60, but one of the stores offers them for $20 on sale, you won’t want to miss out on them.

3. Consider checking out stores that provide clearance items, such as TJ Maxx. These stores a great option since they are known to provide reasonable prices on just about everything in them and shoes are no exception. One of the things that your daughter will probably appreciate about these stories is that they typically carry name brand shoes, so she may be able to show up to prom in a pair of Calvin Klein prom shoes.

4. Don’t be afraid to check out the internet. Although, you may not necessarily want to use auction websites such as eBay, you can consider using price comparison websites to find the best deal on a pair of shoes that you may be interested in. Some stores offer certain deals online only, so don’t be afraid to check out websites from stores that you would ordinarily visit at the local mall.
