Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Internet
- Time
- Money to buy your tickets
Step1
The key is that you have to buy the tickets the day they go on sale, if the tickets are already on sale then it’s to late. Most hot item tickets usually sell out in minutes. What you need to do go to ticketmaster.com and type the artist, team or events name that you wish to see. Ticketmaster will tell you when the tickets to the event go on sale (time and date). Make note of the time and date and be ready to buy the tickets at that time. There is still another critical piece that you need to have and that is your TIMING. For example I have heard of individuals trying to buy on lets say February 20, 20XX at 10:00 am (when tickets are suppose to go on sale) and they still can’t get they because their probably thousands of people trying to get the tickets at the same time.
Step2
Timing: The key to timing is that your time has to be synchronized with atomic time. According to Wikipedia atomic time “is a high-precision atomic time standard that tracks proper time on Earth's geoid. It is the principal realisation of Terrestrial Time, and the basis for Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) which is used for civil timekeeping all over the Earth's surface.” I guess in layman’s terms it is the official time. Three simple ways in which you can get atomic time is first, there are websites like http://www.time.gov/ that have atomic time by zones. Second, you can synchronize you PCs time to atomic time by using Windows built-in atomic clock sync. I know this option is available in XP. To sync double click on the time in the bottom right of your screen. The date and time properties should open and make sure the time and date are correct in the first tab (Date & Time). In the second tab (Time Zone) make sure the time zone is correct for your location. The third tab (Internet Time) is where you can sync your atomic clock. Make sure the check box is checked for automatically synchronize with Internet timeserver. The Server drop down box should show “time.windows.com.” Click update now and the OK button. The third way to sync to atomic time is by using downloaded programs. I haven’t done this because of the fear of viruses, but I hear they work well. You can find these programs by searching for atomic time synchronize programs.
Step3
Once your time is correctly synchronized then your ready to buy your tickets. Let’s use an example. If we want to see Jane Doe in concert in Las Vegas on June 10, 2010 and tickets go on sale April 21, 2010 at 9:00 am. Then we would go to ticketmaster.com around 8:55 am on April 21,2010. Type the artist, team or event you want to buy tickets, click enter and look for the event you want to attend. Don’t click the “find tickets” link/button until your time says 9:00 am. If you don’t find tickets and it says all ticket are out, then go back and try it again immediately. Good luck, this worked for me.
