How to clean your stove top
Does your stove top get grease and baked on spots that won't come off not matter how hard you try? The secret is to use oven cleaner. Make sure you get the fume-free kind otherwise you will really be choking on the fumes. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- fume-free oven cleaner
- paper towels, sponge or cloth
- water
- plastic pot scraper
- rubber or latex cleaning gloves

Put on rubber or latex cleaning gloves. It can be harmful for your skin to have direct contact with the ingredients of any cleaners. Protective gloves will also keep your hands more sanitary and clean.

After the oven cleaner has soaked on the stove, wipe with a cloth or paper towel. Make sure you scrub on the areas that are really dirty. If there are areas that you can't get clean, try the plastic pot scraper to loosen up those spots.

If there is still a significant amount of grease and baked on grime, then spray the stove top again with the oven cleaner. Repeat the steps until the stove is as clean as you want. Wipe down with a wet paper towel or cloth to remove any remaining oven cleaner.

try cleaning your stove immediately after cleaning before any grease and grime dries or hardens
If you have stainless steel range covers or guards that won't come clean, use a brillo pad to remove the grease and stains.
NEVER use a brillo pad, metal utensils, or any other abrasive material to clean your stove top because it will scratch the enamel.

Excellent! Having a clean stove is important from a Feng Shui perspective for two reasons. A clean stove serves to honor our health as this is where we prepare our meals (i.e. energy) and a clean stove also attracts a greater level of abundance. Thank you for this article.
