Things You'll Need:
- 8 lasagna noodles
- 1 large jar of any red pasta sauce-your choice
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 pint small curd cottage cheese
- 8 oz shredded cheddar
- 8 oz shredded mozzarella
- 8 oz your favorite shredded cheese (monterey jack, asiago, provelone or any mixture of shredded cheese)
- Grated parmesan or romano
-
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and coat 9x13 casserole dish with cooking spray or butter.
-
Step 2
Cook lasagna noodles and brown/drain ground beef.
-
Step 3
Add pasta sauce to ground beef to make your "filling". Then spread a thin layer of this filling in bottom of casserole dish.
-
Step 4
Lay 3 lasagna noodles across meat filling lengthwise to form 2nd layer. Add half of each different cheese on top of the noodles. Then add another layer of noodles.
-
Step 5
Spread the remaining meat filling across the 2nd noodle layer. On top of that, add all of the remaining cheese, being careful to seal it to the edges so that none of the meat filling is visible from the top.
-
Step 6
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Allow the lasagna to stand at room temperature for 20 additional minutes before serving so that it will be easier to slice. Enjoy!
