    Instructions

      • 1

Launch your Web browser and open help.yahoo.com.

      • 2

Click the "Register" link next to the "New User?" label in the top-left corner of the page.

      • 3

Type your name, gender, birth date, country or territory location and ZIP code into the relevant text fields of the registration form.

      • 4

Select a Yahoo! identification and enter this into the "Yahoo ID and Email" field. Yahoo! will use your ID as the first part of your email address. For example, if you selected "example22" as your Yahoo! ID, your email address will be "example22@yahoo.com." Click the "Check" button next to this field to check the availability of your ID. If it's not available, type in a new ID or use one of the suggestions auto-generated by Yahoo! Mail. Type your preferred password into the "Password" and "Retype Password" fields.

Select security questions from the drop-down lists, and type the correct answers to these questions in the relevant fields. This helps Yahoo! to identify you if you forget your ID and password. You can also enter an alternative contact email, but this is optional.

Type the characters from the security code into the box. Click the "Create My Account" button. This sets up your Yahoo! Mail account with a Yahoo! email address.
