How to Stay Focused on a Task

It always seems to be a redundant theme: You plan to do something during the day, but somehow you get side-tracked. "Today I'm going to do this--if I have time." Does this sound familiar? Many of us get so caught up in this busy world that we forget about the things that we were supposed to get done.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Write down your goals for the day. This should help you remember to stay focused on these tasks.
Step2
Set priorities on particular tasks. There will be some tasks that are more important than others--figure them out, and start to plan.
Step3
Form good habits. It will become more like a routine. Once you've conquered this, doing particular tasks becomes easier.
Step4
Stay away from distractions. You may have temptation or distractions during the day that stray you away from doing your tasks.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always try to form good habits.
  • Have quiet time to yourself.
  • Always reward yourself after a task has been completed.
  • Don't ever procrastinate.
