Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- A smile
- Good attitude
- Friendly disposition
Step1
Never, ever complain about your boss to anyone at work. This is a major mistake. No one keeps a secret at work. Eventually, it will get back to your boss that you spoke about her behind her back. This is being deceitful and your boss will never forget it. Keep your feelings to yourself unless there is an issue where you need to make a formal complaint to Human Resources.
Step2
Don't have an attitude on the job. It's bad enough if you are not happy at work. But if you show how unhappy you are, people will react negatively. Smile and be friendly to everyone. There may be a better position within the company to apply for. The person who knows you as a positive worker will more likely consider you for the position than if you walked around showing your unhappiness.
Step3
Don't gossip. This is very unprofessional. Complaining about your job to colleagues will get you nowhere. This is just negative energy. You want to be positive and proud of what you do. You may find this helps you face each day as a learning experience rather than a dreadful one.
Step4
Never feel this is the only job you can get. Use the skills you have acquired to your advantage. Put this on your resume. Remember, to always be on good terms with the people you work for and with. You will need them for references in the future.
