Things You'll Need:
- Light Fixture Splattered with Paint
- An Eraser Sponge
- Nail Polish Remover
- Cotton Balls
- A Cloth
-
Step 1
Access the amount of paint on the light fixture. Before using the nail polish remover, you should try the eraser sponge. Follow the directions on the sponge, but make sure that if you need to wet the sponge that it is not dripping wet.
-
Step 2
The eraser sponge will work on many finishes without harming it and should be the first thing you try. If the eraser sponge doesn’t work then you will need to try the nail polish remover. Dab a few cotton balls with nail polish remover and squeeze any excess into the sink.
-
Step 3
Gently rub the paint spots with the nail polish remover and let it set for a minute or two.
-
Step 4
Take the cloth and rub the spots to remove the paint. If some paint is still present, repeat Step 3.
-
Step 5
Once the paint is completely removed, lightly dampen the cloth and wipe the light fixture clean.
