How to Rate a Teacher Online
Rate: (7 Ratings)

Have you ever wondered what kinds of people are teaching your child? There is a great way to find out, as well as for you or your child to rate a teacher, and it can all be done on the Internet.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open your Internet browser and go to the Rate My Teachers website (see Resources below).

  2. Step 2

Click on the link labeled “New User? Click Here,” located near the top of the page.

  3. Step 3

Type in the name of the school, along with the state it is located, and click “Go.” If the school displays accurately in the box on the right, then click the “Continue” button to begin setting up your user account information, otherwise click the link showing the school name and then click the “Continue” button to proceed.

  4. Step 4

Once you submit your user account information, the website will send a confirmation e-mail box. You will need to click on the confirmation link in the e-mail in order to activate your account. Clicking the link will take you to their website and allow you to log in with your e-mail and password.

  5. Step 5

Once logged in you can begin viewing teachers, rating them or even add a teacher that is not listed yet.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you only want to look up a rating for a teacher, you do not need to sign up for the website. All you need to do is click the map where the school is located in the U.S, find the school’s name, and then read the ratings of the teachers listed.
