Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Commitment
- Effort
- Discipline
- Goals
Step1
Allocate your time – You only have so much time per day (24 hrs). In these 24 hours you need to sleep, eat, take a shower, etc… If you try to do these necessities plus go out to the mall with your friends, watch TV, go out with your girlfriend, and play video games then you will not have enough time in your day to study properly. You should have your priorities in order and allocate your time efficiently.
Step2
After you determine how to allocate your time, then you should create a study plan. When creating this plan you should concentrate more on the subjects in which you have lower grades. You should work hard on all your subjects, but harder on where your grades are lower. You should read all assigned readings.
Step3
Ask questions & get involved – Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to ask questions. Most of the time all your classmates have the same question, but are embarrassed to ask. Stay after class and ask the teacher questions and if there are additional pointers they can recommend. Get involved with study groups. Find and make friends with students who have the same goals as you. There is a saying that goes, “you are like your friends.” Basically this means if you hang around with students who have straight A’s, good morals, and goals in their lives, then you will eventually become like them. Lastly, ask the students who always do well if you can ask them questions and if you can call them when you need help.
