How to unfreeze or reset your iPod Shuffle
The iPod shuffle is the smallest of Apple's iPod models designed to store and playback digital music files. At times, your iPod shuffle may freeze and lose basic functionality. When this happens, you will need to unfreeze your iPod shuffle device by initiating the reset process. After performing the reset, your iPod shuffle should regain functionality.

Move the power switch on the top of your iPod shuffle device to the off position.

Wait 10 seconds.

Move the power switch to the on position. You will see a green stripe to the left of the power switch indicating the on position. You have now unfrozen and reset your iPod shuffle device.
