Garnish a Cocktail

Cocktails are fun to make and taste delicious. However, the prettier a cocktail looks, the better it will taste.

From Quick Guide: Cocktail 101
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Long toothpick or cocktail toothpick
  • Fruit, olive or a mint sprig
  1. Step 1

Put a few small pieces of fruit into the bottom of the drink using the cocktail toothpick. Make sure not to overdo it. This only works if it is a sweet cocktail; for sour cocktails, use olives instead of fruit.

  2. Step 2

Cut the rind off a lemon or lime and place it on the side of the glass. A mint sprig also looks lovely, as does a thin slice of pineapple.

  3. Step 3

Add a cute, colorful straw or umbrella and enjoy!
