Whether you are on a diet or just trying to be healthier, cutting calories may be at the top of your priority list. Use these tips for some easy ways to cut calories without having to count them every step of the way.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
I know you have probably heard this many times, but the reason for that is because it's true. You have to snack smart. Instead of having a bar of chocolate, try having some fruit instead. If you absolutely loathe fruit, try to have a cereal bar (the low calorie ones).
Step2
Replace your whole milk with nonfat milk. Maybe instead of drinking a whole cup, you can drink a half cup and the rest later.
Step3
If you must have ice cream or cake, have 1/3 or 1/2 the normal portion you would have.
Step4
Replace regular cola with diet cola. Even better, replace the regular cola with water.
Step5
Cut the amount of dressing you put in your salad by half. If you mix it well, your salad will still taste delicious.
Step6
Use low fat mayonnaise instead of full fat. A lot of times this may not mean a lot less calories or less calories at all, but at least you are cutting fat. To cut the calories, just use half the amount of mayonnaise you normally use.
Step7
If you must eat fast food, order the smallest portion, usually the kid's meal instead of the full large meal. Order diet cola to go with it.
Step8
Buy extra lean meat instead of the full meat.
Step9
Buy low calorie bread. Usually these are the wholemeal ones.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add exercise to your low calorie diet to lose weight effectively.
  • Whenever possible, look at the fat/calorie contents of all foods in a category, and choose the lowest fat/calorie ones.
