White Bread is Dead
White Bread is Dead

We were brought up in America on grilled cheese and tomato soup.
As we nutritionally evolve, we are aware that white bread is dead, American Cheese is full of fat and the soup brimming with sodium and high fructose corn syrup. Grocers now carry hearty whole grain and sprouted grain breads that can be spread with one of the new margarines with Omega 3's and add slices of fat free soy cheese that is bursting with vitamins and no cholesterol.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Skillet
  • Spatula
  • Soup pot and ladle
  • 1 tablespoon of Healthy Margarine
  • Whole grain bread
  • 3 Cheddar Cheese slices
  • Organic Tomato Soup with low sodium
  1. Step 1

Place both pieces of the grain bread in a skillet that has a tablespoon of margarine without trans fats. This way you can cut the cooking time in half buy browning and melting both sides of the melted cheese tradition. Place the cheese equally on both sides of the bread.

  2. Step 2

When the bread is brown and the cheese soft, remove and enjoy with the tomato soup.

  3. Step 3

If you do not prefer soy cheese, opt for the low fat versions of cheddar and be conservative. Cheese is liquid meat and contains saturated fats that can quickly mucky up the internal plumbing.
