Punch up your photos with the amazing liquefy commands in Photoshop. In no time at all, you can transform an average photo into something crazy.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

With your photo open in Photoshop, duplicate your image (layer/duplicate layer).

  2. Step 2

Go to filter/liquefy, and you'll see your image in a preview window full of tolls and settings.

  3. Step 3

Choose a tool from the right side. Bring it over your previewed image. You will get an indication of the cursor size. Change the size in the tool options box on the right side of the window.

  4. Step 4

Experiment with the tools. Some of my favorites include:

    - Forward warp: change a frown into a smile or thin out a thick waistline.
    - Twirl: make a plain section of your photo into a whirlpool.
    - Bloat: make some alien eyes or make yourself appear obese.
    - Pucker: shrink your mouth until it almost disappears.

Tips & Warnings
  • Experiment with copying parts of your image into their own layers before liquefying them.
  • Always duplicate your file before starting any photo editing project.
