Juggling on a unicycle makes for an amazing party trick and will immensely improve your repertoire if you are a professional performer. Here is a step by step breakdown of the mechanics required for juggling on a unicycle.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Unicycle
  • Juggling Balls
  • Open Space
  1. Step 1

Practice juggling and riding a unicycle separately. First juggle for about an hour, then unicycle for an hour.

  2. Step 2

    Take a short break.

  3. Step 3

Mount the unicycle and simply remain balanced on it. Pick up two juggling balls and begin to juggle. You may notice that you begin to lose balance. The most important thing to do here is stay balanced on the unicycle, even if you drop the balls.

  4. Step 4

Continue juggling two balls on a stationary unicycle until you have mastered this delicate balancing act. Then you may try mobility.

  5. Step 5

Juggle the balls and pay close attention to their trajectory. Begin moving with the balls, in other words, let the balls guide the unicycle. You will begin to move naturally on the unicycle, and your technique will be smooth.

  6. Step 6

Add more juggling balls when you are ready.

  7. Step 7

Once you are able to follow the trajectory of the balls on the unicycle, you may begin attempting to ride the unicycle while simultaneously juggling. In other words, you can now streamline both activities instead of letting one lead the other.

on 10/13/2009 When riding a unicycle you naturally use your arms for balance, but juggling requires controlled arm movement. Practice riding the unicycle with your arms folded so you learn to balance without using your arms.

on 12/10/2008 I found it easier to juggle while rideing forward on the unicycle as oppose to staying in one place(idling).
