How to Edit a PayPal Business Account

If you conduct business online, you most likely have a PayPal Business account. This type of account permits you to buy or sell products and services to clients and merchants all over the world. You can easily conduct transactions with a PayPal business account.

But if you are like many businesses, the information on your business account will change from time to time. These changes could be associated with your business email, bank account information, contact information, credit card numbers, street address or many others. The following details several steps you can take to make these changes easily to your PayPal business account.

  • Internet Connection
  • New Information
  1. Step 1

    Gather all of the new information required to make the edit(s) to your PayPal business account.

  2. Step 2

    Sign in to your PayPal account.

  3. Step 3

    You can get access to all of your business account profile options by selecting the “edit profile” link provided to the right of your account name. You can also access this page by selecting “Profile” from the bar located near the top of the page.

  4. Step 4

    The page that opens gives you options to change Account Information, Financial Information or Selling Preferences. Each of these categories has multiple options to pick from. Find the link related to the information you need to change, and click on it.

  5. Step 5

    Follow the instructions provided to edit your business account information. The procedure will vary according to the information you are changing. Make sure you select “Save” when you have finished.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have any questions or problems during the process of making changes to your PayPal business account, you can click on the “Help” link located on the top of every PayPal page. You will have several links to select from to get help. Choose the one associated with your problem and follow the directions given.
  • You can also get in touch with PayPal by selecting the “Contact Us” link that is located on the bottom of every page, or on the right side of the Help Center page. Once you select this link, you will have the options to get help by email or phone.
  • If you take a lot of time or are interrupted when working on the PayPal pages, you will most likely be automatically signed out. An error will be displayed stating your session has timed out. You will have to log in again to complete the changes. Repeat the steps to edit your business PayPal.
