Things You'll Need:
- Wooden napkin rings
- Silk flowers
- Medium size bowl
- Large bottle of white glue
- Waxed Paper
-
Step 1
Spread a section of waxed paper on your work surface. Place a wooden napkin ring, standing on its side, on the waxed paper. Place the rest of the rings on the waxed paper, giving yourself room to work with them.
-
Step 2
Pull the silk flowers completely off the stems. Make sure to keep the flowers whole. Remove the leaves and keep them separate.
-
Step 3
Pour the white glue into the bowl. Submerge the leaves completely in the glue and rub them through your fingers, gently squeezing out the excess glue without smashing the leaves. Place the leaves on the top of the napkin ring. Ball up a tiny bit of waxed paper and place under the middle of the leaf, creating a natural curve. Repeat with the other side or sides of the leaf. Let dry completely.
-
Step 4
Submerge the flower into the white glue and remove excess. Place in the center of the dried leaves and gently open the petals of the flower. Place tiny bits of balled up waxed paper as needed under the flower to hold up the shape.
-
Step 5
Check the flower after a few minutes. If the petals are trying to stick together, gently open them. Continue checking and opening the petals until they hold their shape on their own. Let dry completely and gently remove all waxed paper.
