Do you have a great photo, but need to change the background? Luckily you can easily remove a background using the background eraser tool in Photoshop.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

With a photo open in Photoshop, look over at the toolbar at the left of your screen.

  2. Step 2

Choose the background eraser tool (the background eraser might be underneath your eraser).

  3. Step 3

Click on a section of the background you wish to erase. Now click again holding down the alt key. This samples the color you wish to erase.

  4. Step 4

Now drag your cursor along the area you wish to erase. Only the color you sampled will be deleted.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always save a duplicate of your photo before you begin editing anything.
