Things You'll Need:
- Just your existing wardrobe will do
- Willingness to organize
-
Step 1
1. Organize Your Closet-Keep your workday and weekend wear separate.
This narrows your choices and makes it easy to see what works together-and what doesn't. -
Step 2
A drawer with an extra provision2. Don't Waste Time Going Through Your Dresser Drawer for the right pair of panty hose or underwear. Just fill a drawer with emergency items such as extra panty hose in a variety of shades, one of your better bras (or two), and one (or two) essential pairs of underwear.
You can also add whatever else you deem essential. -
Step 3
3. Put Clothes Away In Ready-To-Wear Condition-If something needs to be ironed, do it before you put it away.
-
Step 4
You won't have time to do this if you're running late! Make any repairs the day or night before.4. Never Put Away A Garment That's Missing A Button-This also applies one that's losing a hem or needs to be dry cleaned. Because you may find yourself making multiple changes when you should and need to be heading out the door!
-
Step 5
Always a classic option5. No Time To Iron-Stick with knits or better yet, wash-and-wear or perma-press items. They're not only fashionable, but they're also wrinkle-resistant. And they'll enable you to get out the door-Quickly!
-
Step 6
A one-color outfit (or two)6. Build A Wardrobe in The Same Color Range because it's super-easy to get dressed (it really is; I do this a lot!).
If you buy a few good pieces that can be mixed-and matched, you'll never be at a loss for something to wear.
