Step 1
When you begin your hunt for a 1980's film to watch, check out Fast Rewind.com (see Resources below). This website provides information for over 500 80's film titles. You can watch movie trailers and even learn some 80's movie trivia at this site.
-
Step 2
Many best and worst 80's movies lists have been made, and they can be a helpful starting point when trying to decide what film to watch. Although you won't want to base your decision on these lists alone, they can give you insight into what films should be at the top of your own list to watch.
-
Step 3
There are many actors and actresses that began their movie careers in the 1980's and are still associated with the films of that decade. You may want to choose one movie icon from the 80's, such as Molly Ringwald or Anthony Michael Hall, and watch all of his or her films from the decade. While you might not like all of their movies, you may find one or two that you love.
-
Step 4
Host a 1980's theme party and ask guests to bring their favorite movies from the decade. Play 80's trivia games to learn even more about the films and pop culture of that time period.
-
Step 5
Each weekend, choose a specific theme or genre of movie that you would like to watch, and choose a top-rated 80's film from that category. Be sure to throw cult classics, such as "Valley Girl" and "Sixteen Candles" as well as some lesser-known titles into the mix.
