You use your phone so much, you might not realize how dirty it gets just from coming in daily contact with the natural oil of your skin. You can easily remove the smudges and collecting grime with regular maintenance.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

How to Clean A Phone

Step1
Dampen a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol.
Step2
Gently rub the cotton ball over the entire phone, including the holder if you're using a land line.
Step3
Let the phone air dry for a moment before placing it back in its holder (for a land line) or closing it up (for a cell phone).
Step4
Dampen a Q-tip in rubbing alcohol and use it to clean around the buttons on your phone.
Step5
You don't have to use rubbing alcohol if you don't have it handy. Regular cleaning products will work, but just make sure to spray or put it in a cloth or rag and then wipe down the phone and don't spray it directly on the phone.
Step6
For cell phones you can use the type of cloth that is used to clean glasses for cleaning the display.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always power off cell phones and pull out the electrical cord for land line phones before cleaning them.
