Linoleum floor
Linoleum floor

Linoleum floors can look drab and dingy over time, but you can perk them up! Restore your linoleum floors so they will look shiny and clean.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Floor mop
  • Warm, soapy water
  • Milk
  • Turpentine
  • Toothpaste
  • Old cloth or rag
  • Pencil eraser
  1. Step 1

Clean your linoleum floor with warm, soapy water. Wring out the mop well so the floor does not get drenched. Let the floor dry.

  2. Step 2

Mix turpentine and milk in equal parts. Apply the mixture to the floor with your mop.

  3. Step 3

Fill a bucket with warm water. Dip a clean mop in the water and use it to the rinse the floor of your turpentine-milk solution.

  4. Step 4

After the floor is dry, if you still see scuff marks on the linoleum, apply some toothpaste to a rag and rub until the scuff mark lightens.

  5. Step 5

An alternative to toothpaste and a rag is to try a pencil eraser. Just rub the scuff mark away.
