There’s no place in the world quite like Las Vegas. The neon lights on the strip beckon tourists into casinos and the possibility of striking it rich. So how does anyone manage to leave Las Vegas with any money in his pockets after a few nights on the casino floor? All it takes is a solid strategy and willpower.

From Quick Guide: Visit Las Vegas
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Envelope
  1. Step 1

Set up a gambling budget for yourself before you arrive in Las Vegas. Whether it’s $60 or $600, plan to stick to whatever limit you set for yourself. Keep in mind your gambling money is separate from the rest of your trip budget, so make sure you have enough money set aside for hotel, travel and food as well.

  2. Step 2

Withdraw the amount of money you plan to spend on gambling after you arrive at your hotel. Divide the cash up by the number of days you will be staying, place enough gambling money in your wallet for the first day then place the rest in the safe in your hotel room.

  3. Step 3

Cash out any money you win at a slot machine or gaming table and place it in a separate area of your wallet. Do this every time you win an amount over $20.

  4. Step 4

Place your winnings in an envelope at the back of your hotel room safe before you go to bed each night. Do not take any money out of the envelope during your trip.

  5. Step 5

Save $1 from your last day gambling if you somehow managed not to win anything while gambling. Put the dollar bill in the envelope.

  6. Step 6

Take the envelope home with you and savor the fact that you came home with at least $1 after your trip to Las Vegas.
