Whether you enjoy taking road trips or like to travel the world, chances are you always try to bring a souvenir home with you to remember your trip. But you don't always have to spend large portions of your travel budget on these keepsakes. Free souvenirs do exist if you know where to look, and the vast majority of them are perfect for adding to your scrapbook.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Pick up one of the hotel’s brochures when you arrive to check in, particularly if you are staying at a bed-and-breakfast or boutique hotel. This makes a great addition to your scrapbook, especially when placed next to a photos you in your room or standing in front of the hotel.
Step2
Check the desk in your hotel room for freebies like hotel stationary or postcards. Many hotels provide these items as a courtesy to their guests. Use the stationary or postcards to write down memories of your trip, then add them to your scrapbook when you get home.
Step3
Grab brochures and save admission tickets from every museum, amusement park or historic landmark you visit during your vacation. You’ll enjoy looking at these items in your scrapbook long after the trip is over.
Step4
Ask your waiter if you can keep a copy of the menu if you’re eating at a special restaurant.
Step5
Place all of your souvenirs between cardboard, then put everything in an envelope. Place the envelope in a secure area of your suitcase where it won’t get bent on the return trip home.
Step6
Add each item to your scrapbook after you return home and enjoy the memories each one brings.
