How to Make Slow-Cooker BBQ Beef in a Crock Pot

  • 3 lbs. boneless chuck roast
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 cups chopped onion
  • 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2-3 bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 jar barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. chili powder

      Heat the oil in a large skillet. Add the meat and cook it until it is brown on all sides.Use a slotted spoon to transfer the meat to the slow cooker.

      Pace the onion in the skillet. When the onions are brown, transfer them to the slow cooker. Add the other ingredients.

      Cover and cook for 6 hours on high. Stir the beef every 2 hours. Use a fork to shred the finished beef. Spoon the beef onto buns and serve.
