A window offers great natural light for sewing and eliminates the need for a daytime lamp.

Decorate your sewing room with items that inspire your creativity. Whether it's a color, theme or your particular craft in general, find a way to incorporate it. How you decorate might also depend on what you sew. For instance, quilters need a flannel design wall, but someone who sews clothing may need a dress form instead. • 7

Hang the easy fabric wall hangings with wall mount adhesive tabs. Hang on different walls or all together for a bold look.

    • 18

Rub the glue stick around the edges of the clock's backing and in the area beneath the fabric. Press fabric down to adhere.
